REVIEW – The Pulltops Mix Retro & Modern Production With Haunting Whispers In “Better Life”

The Pulltops Mix Retro & Modern Production With Haunting Whispers In “Better Life”

Milwaukee based duo, drummer Mark Pierret & guitarist Tom Crowell, aka The Pulltops capture the frustrations of trying to find your place in life with their newest single “Better Life”

The track starts with a slow beat accompanied by haunting whispers as they lay down the lyrics for the things that make you happy when you are surrounded by all of the trappings of modern life. Once you start getting the feel of the vibe, they explode with powerful guitar riffs and thunderous drums while still captivating us with their unique rock style

Delivering a hooky mix of Indie Rock, Power Pop & Album Rock ““Better Life” takes on the search for happiness in a world that surrounds us with empty promises. The arrangement echoes these feelings by incorporating cold, sterile, yet haunting synths for the verses mixed with loud anthemic drums in the chorus.”

The track is the latest release from the band’s new EP "Between The Lines". All of the songs have the underlying theme of personal growth, the struggles we face in life, and the continued search to find your place in this world
