Synthetic Hearts by RIVERLABS from the album " FRACTURED REALITY - HUMAN CODE" hits differently right from the start. The synths buzz and hum. The voice drifts in, sometimes close, sometimes far away. You hear lines like “Synthetic hearts beating for no one,” and it kind of sticks with you. Weirdly, it’s cold, but also… you feel something.
The track shifts as it goes. At first, it’s broken, fractured, then the pulse comes in. Layered beats, faint shimmer, little sparks of warmth here and there. The lyrics keep asking questions—“Do we dream or is it cold?” They repeat, linger. You catch a synth note, a hum, a pause, and it makes you pause too. It’s small, subtle stuff, but it matters.
Watching the video adds another layer. Neon lights flicker, shapes break apart and reconnect. It feels like stepping inside the song itself. By the end, you’re left unsure—what’s real? What’s synthetic? Doesn’t matter, you’ve felt something anyway. Synthetic Hearts creeps in slowly. It’s not flashy or in a rush, but it stays. You think about it, a little longer than you expected and that’s kind of the point.
