REVIEW – Scarlet Joy Brings Grunge Rock Music Straight From The Heart With ‘Rescue’

Scarlet Joy is a power trio from Lincolnshire , Sophia Woodcraft ( Vocals and Guitar ), Drew Moore ( Drums ) & Tom Latham ( Bass ) bring Grunge Rock Music straight from the heart with their second single 'Rescue' from the upcoming debut album ‘Mourning Pages’

The track starts with fierce guitar riffs, deep bass and powerful drums along Sophia’s fascinating vocals and lyrics that show fierce declaration of feeling conflicted and trapped in relationships

The storytelling shows several veins running through :

1. How we break away from the things we love but feel tied to and know are holding us back

2. How we let go of the things that are bad for us but that we repeatedly choose

3. We can get so lost in trying to save someone else, when ultimately, we can only ever save ourselves

Influenced by Nirvana, Hole, PJ Harvey, Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age are clearly reflected in the bands performance showcasing their ability to get you easily hooked to their music

'Rescue' was played on BBC Introducing Lincolnshire in June. Scarlet Joy have also played the Equinox Festival in 2019 and 2021.
