Swedish multifaceted producer, artist, and remixer (David Elfström Lilja) aka Moist, just hit us with one of the catchiest remixes for this hit, in collaboration with songwriter and production partner Maria Marcus, whom he has worked with for 20 years.
Starting the track with Maria’s soft, dreamy vocals along David’s magic touch, taking us on an unforgettable journey back to the 80’s with a unique modern touch, making it one of the best covers we came across
Quoting David, the choice of “I Wanna Know What Love Is” was pretty easy because it’s one of my biggest favorites from the 80s, but it was also hard to work with a song that I’ve listened to so much, and there are a lot of great versions that others have done before, such as Amazon. But we did our thing. It was after we had completed this song that the idea of making a whole album of covers was born.
David worked with Swedish and international artists such as Pet Shop Boys, Dilba, Tangerine Dream, Moby and Red Snapper for the past 20 years.
Maria Marcus has had great success with Red Velvet, Jungkook / SUGA from BTS and a number of artists in South Korea and Japan over the past 10 years
